What Are Coupon Trains?
A coupon train is a fairly simple idea that lets you not only get coupons that you will use but pass on coupons that you don’t need to someone who does. Each coupon train has its own rules but this is generally how they work:
- You clip all the coupons from your Sunday papers and collect any other coupons you can find. Some coupon trains accept Internet coupons and blinkies (coupons that come out of a dispenser with a blinking light on the product shelves at certain supermarkets) while some do not.
- You receive the coupon train envelope in the mail and you pick out the coupons that you want and replace them with your coupons that you want to pass on.
- You have a certain time period in which you need to mail the coupon train envelope to the next person on the list.
It’s important to understand the coupon train rules and requirements before you sign up for a train. If you don’t follow the rules you can get blacklisted and be unable to participate in the future. Here are a few coupon trains that I recommend:
Alternatively, if you have only certain coupons that you wish to obtain you can purchase those coupons online most of the time using coupon clipping services.
