6 Reasons Not to Eat Fast Food

Fast food can be so tempting. Those commercials just beg us to go out and pick up that juicy hamburger with hot crispy French fries. It’s so convenient and so easy just to pick up some kid’s meals while you are out or grab a hot pizza on the way home from work. Well, I’m coming to your rescue with these reasons not to eat fast food!

  1. Buying fast food can be expensive. You can often make meals for pennies a serving by making meals at home.
  2. You lose out on kitchen table family time. Try to have a real conversation with your kids while you are driving through traffic, everyone’s eating, and you’re rushing to the next activity.
  3. Fast food is unhealthy. For the most part, fast food is very unhealthy. With growing obesity problems in adults and children, don’t put your family’s health at risk. Make a meal at home so you know exactly what ingredients went into it.
  4. Fast food commercials make the food look better then the food they will serve to you. Check out these comparisons of advertised and actual fast food.
  5. With a little preparation you can have the convenience of fast food without the cost or unhealthiness. It’s easy to eat for cheap on the go if you plan a little!
  6. Fast food usually makes you feel bad after eating it. Evaluate how you feel after you at fast food – do you feel overfull, sleepy, cranky? Now see how you feel after a homemade meal – should be a big improvement.
