I was getting ready to make dinner a few years ago for my family and all the standbys just didn’t sound good to me. I was bored with everything I could think of – I wanted something good and something new. I pulled up the Internet and did a quick search that gave me hundreds of thousands of new recipes. The next few months I spent compiling a list of my favorite online recipe sites so I could refer to them whenever I wanted to try something new.

The online recipe sites below are free to use and they really can spice up your cooking. I don’t know about you, but when I’m bored with my meals I tend to go to a restaurant or get some take out which can get very expensive. There are a whopping 40,000 free recipes here and the site grows every day. The site is very easy to use and is organized in a variety of ways that make it easy to find the recipe you want. The best part of this site is that you can rate and review all of the recipes. Whenever I find a recipe I want to try, I look through the reviews and see how others have tweaked the recipes. I get all kinds of new ideas this way! I also love the fact that you can put in the ingredients you have on hand and it will recommend recipes. I just love this site!

Canned food recipes can be very economical and I’ve found many meals here that cost very little to make. Each recipe can be rated and commented on. Nutritional information is also provided for all the recipes which is a big help when I’m trying to find a healthy recipe. Most of the recipes also feature beautiful pictures of the final product.
