What is Merchandising?
Merchandising is a small job that many mystery shoppers participate in addition to mystery shopping. A manufacturer hires a person to go out to a store and perform certain duties such as stocking displays, straightening end caps, or performing demonstrations for customers. You do not work for the store, you work for the company (often a mystery shopping company) that was hired by the manufacturer to hire and train you. These jobs typically take only a few hours and the pay varies from company to company.
The best way to find a job in merchandising is to apply to the mystery shopping companies since many of them hire merchandisers as well. Here is a list of companies that hire merchandisers.
