These are very practical projects for decorating and furnishing an apartment. Even if you own your home you will find that many of these ideas will work great there as well.

3. Country Living 750 Great Ideas for Decorating on a Budget: Transform Your Home Inside & Out by The Editors of Country Living Gardener

This is not a how-to book rather than a book that has some great ideas for you who love the country and cottage looks. I refer to this book all the time to get new ideas. It’ll make you look at the old yard sale end table in a whole new light!

4. Home Decorating for Dummies by Katharine Kaye McMillan and Patricia Hart McMillan

This is a very straightforward, basic decorating book. These are basic techniques that you can use across many different projects. This is a great reference book to have on hand.

5. Budget Living Home Cheap Home: A Room-by-Room Guide to Great Decorating by The Editors of Budget Living

The ideas in this book are very eclectic and sometimes even kitschy. I love looking at this book to help me get ideas out of the box. Some of the products in the book are a little expensive so I suggest using the book more for inspiration.
