When we recently went to Disneyland, we stayed at a hotel that served a free, FULL breakfast. Room was under $80 a night since we traveled off season and we asked if we could take a few things back to our room. We took an english muffin each along with cream cheese and jam or PB and a piece of fruit. These turned into fabulous free mini lunches. We also signed up for the various "deal" sites (Groupon for example) for Orange county (you could sign up anywhere) and ended up getting a couple super discounted certificates that allowed 1 1/2-2 people of our 4, to eat for free. We also knew some of the restaurants in the area and signed up on their website and some offered a free meal while others offered a % discount for giving them our email address. Ended up only spending about $150 for 4 people for 4 days food in So Cal. Give it a try!! You will be thrilled at what it can do for your budget :-)

Good tips.

My parents own a timeshare condo we travel too frequently. These usually have a small or full kitchen right in the room where we can make breakfast and lunches. We usually make a trip to the local grocery store and then prepare all the breakfasts and lunches right in the room. Saves quite a bit of $$
